Women’s Rights- Multi-sensory

PuzzlesThe stories in this theme explore how women’s roles in society have changed over time through oral histories and interactive puzzles. The oral history selections reveal the personal challenges and triumphs of women in the United States. They encourage new perspectives on how we think about women and politics, education, healthcare, and other important issues.
Multi-sensory component:
Puzzles in this program are intended to expand the understanding of the clips and offer a ‘multi-sensory’ and interactive experience. The photos are not related to the oral histories, but there to expand the context. According to Edgar Dale’s Cone of Experience, people remember 20% of what they hear, 50% of what they see and hear, and 90% of what they do. Each photo puzzle is played with one clip. Cut photos into simple puzzles and place in numbered envelopes. Right before the next audio clip pass out envelop with corresponding puzzle.
